This notice explains how Pyasso (“the Platform”) processes personal data of people in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and the UK GDPR.
1. Controller
The controller is DigiWorksTeam, Mersin/Türkiye. Contact: [email protected]. Pyasso is built and operated by the AI and simulation team of DigiWorksTeam, a software company established in Türkiye. Where Article 27 GDPR requires it, an EU representative will be appointed and named here.
2. What we process
- Player profile data: name, date or year of birth, nationality, club, position, height, weight, preferred foot, match statistics, transfer history, publicly reported injuries (adults only) and algorithmic outputs derived from these (power, potential, value estimate, badges).
- Application data: information you submit through the talent application form, video links, an optional photo (published only with explicit consent), the submitter’s contact details and, for minors, the parent or guardian’s name and consent.
- Contact data: name, e-mail address and message you send through the contact form.
- Security and usage data: a keyed, irreversible hash of your IP address that changes daily, browser type, page visited and time. Raw IP addresses are not stored and no tracking cookies are used for statistics.
3. Purposes and legal bases (Art. 6 GDPR)
- Rating and publishing football player profiles from publicly available professional football data: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) in sports analysis, talent discovery and informing the public. We have balanced these interests against players’ rights: we publish only football-related data, never contact details, and we hide values and rankings of minors.
- Handling talent applications: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and legitimate interests; publishing a photo or a minor’s profile: consent (Art. 6(1)(a), Art. 8).
- Answering messages and data subject requests: legitimate interests and legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
- Security, abuse prevention and cookieless statistics: legitimate interests.
- Personalised advertising (if enabled): consent, which you can refuse or withdraw at any time.
4. Profiling and automated assessment
Pyasso ratings are produced by an algorithm and constitute profiling. They do not produce legal effects or similarly significant effects within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR, and no decision about you is taken solely by them. The full methodology is published on the Methodology page. You may object to this processing at any time (Art. 21) and ask for a human review or correction of your profile.
5. Recipients and international transfers
Data is hosted on servers operated by our hosting provider and processed by DigiWorksTeam in Türkiye, which is a third country under the GDPR. Transfers are based on Art. 46 safeguards (standard contractual clauses) where required, or on Art. 49(1) derogations for the limited publication of public sports data. If you accept advertising cookies, Google acts under its own terms. We do not sell personal data.
6. Retention
Player profiles remain while published and are removed within 30 days of an accepted erasure request. Rejected applications are deleted within 12 months, messages within 24 months (spam within 30 days), detailed visit logs after 400 days.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21), and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. Use the Data request form or write to [email protected]. We answer within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement.
8. Children
Players under 16 are never added automatically. They appear only after an application, verified parental consent and editorial approval; their profiles are excluded from search engines, rankings and market values.
